What is Muziekmozaïek?

Now celebrating its 20th year, Muziekmozaïek is a creative organisation that aims to inspire, inform and excite people about folk and jazz music. It encourages musicians of all ages and abilities to develop their confidence, creativity and skills. Muziekmozaïek organises music camps, workshops and concerts for anyone who is keen to learn. Muziekmozaïek also organises the VONKfestival which gives artists an opportunity to play for an international audience.

What is VONKfestival?

VONK is a showcase festival for folk, roots and acoustic music in the cultural capital of Belgium, Ghent. We offer a weekend steeped in music, local culture and delicious Belgian Beers😉.

Planning

• Friday 18 February: Evening concert with Spilar and I draw slow.

• Saturday 19 February: 8 showcase bands. Evening concert with Geronimo.

• Sunday 20 February:
  Morning: alternative guided tour through the city
  Afternoon: open stage for folk and acoustic musicians
